Object Code Branch Coverage:
Object code branch coverage is a metric, which reports whether each machine language conditional branch instruction both took the branch and fell through. It gives results which depend on the compiler rather than on the program structure since compiler code generation and optimization techniques can create object code that bears little similarity to the original source code structure.
Off-the-Shelf Software:
Off-the-Shelf Software is a software product that is developed for the general market, i.e. for a large number of customers, and that is delivered to many customers in identical format.
Operability:
Operability
is the capability of the software product to enable the user to operate and control it.
Operational Environment:
Operational Environment refers to the hardware and software products installed at users� or customers� sites where the component or system under test will be used. The software may include operating systems, database management systems, and other applications.
Operational Profile Testing:
Operational Profile Testing is the statistical testing using a model of system operations (short duration tasks) and their probability of typical use.
Operational Testing:
Operational Testing refers to the testing conducted to evaluate a component or system in its operational environment.
Orthogonal Defect Classification or ODC:
Orthogonal defect classification is a measurement method, which uses the defect stream to provide precise measurability into the product and the process.
Output:
Output is a variable (whether stored within a component or outside) that is written by a component.
Output Domain:
Output Domain is the set from which valid output values can be selected.
Output Value:
Output Value is an instance of an output.
